Dr. Anders Cohen: a Recognized Name in New York’s Neurosurgical Landscape

When it comes to neurosurgery, few hospitals are as fortunate as the Brooklyn Hospital Center and the St. Barnabas Hospital to have Dr. Anderson Cohen in their roster.

A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology under the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Cohen now works as head of the Neurosurgery Department of the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Despite numerous accolades for being the first doctor to perform a neurosurgical procedure using the groundbreaking AxiaLIF (Trans1) and XLIF procedures, he remains humble and never wavers in his dedication to his work. He teaches at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and also conducts talks on the latest technology in neurosurgery at international conferences.

Aside from imparting valuable information on neurosurgery among colleagues, Dr. Anders Cohen is also well-loved and respected for his way of explaining complicated operations in a simple manner, and conveying genuine compassion to every patient who seeks his help.
